I decided to start this blog to keep all of our family and friends with us on our journey. Chris hadn’t been feeling well for about 4 weeks prior to the 25th. Back ache (nothing unusual for him if anyone remembers our Greek festivals), pain down his legs (this was unusual), Flu (not unusual because I had the flu too). What was unusual was that his legs were getting worse and he was short of breath. Also lack of energy and appetite!

This brought us to Toledo Hospital right when he got back from Florida. Straight from the airport. Immediate tests looked good. Chest X-ray good! CT scan good! EKG good! Blood work….not so good.  White blood cells were very high! Docs told us this could be cancer. I said hon they always give you the worse case senerio so let’s just wait till more tests.

  1. Dear Mr. T, I’m very sorry to hear about the obstacles in your life. All of us that love you are very confident you will beat this disease. Your perseverance and amazing will to live will never be out shined by this. We are all praying for your rapid recovery. You have too many things left to do, lives to change, and people to make better (as you did personally for me as a young man to show me work ethic, family values, and what it really took to be a young man). You have been one of the most influential people in my life and I will forever be great full for that, and I’m sure there are many others in line that would say the same. We are all here for you, anything we can do, we will do. We love you, and can’t wait to see you making the world a better place again. Love you, The Burgess Family
