7/11/2017 Superman

Four rounds of chemo and my Superman is ready to take on another. To prepare Chris’ body for the stem cells he will receive from his sister, he will need another 5 days of a pretty strong dose of chemo. Superman! The doctor said his goal will be to have Chris on the golf course again as soon as possible! My honey was all in! Lol! We don’t have a admitting date yet but the process to get there has begun. It will probably be the later part of this month.

We have two days of tests and meetings this week. Xrays, pulmonary tests, echo grams, blood tests etc.  Of all the tests and hospital stays my honey has had, the thing he hates most is having his blood drawn.  As you may know, the skill level of a phlebotomist varies. Sometimes it’s a little more painful for Chris than other times but either way he can’t stand the site of blood! Superman??

We are both being positive about his treatment moving forward. It’s been 5 months so far, hoping another 3 to go. All along we would say “in a year this” or “in a year that”.  So anything less will be a bonus!

Please continue to send your thoughts and prayers. Love to all! From Pat and her Honey!

  2. It takes faith & strength and a lot of support to go through such an ordeal. You have both shown true courage and I’m proud to be related. Just a little longer, My Dears.
